Are you BOLD enough to be YOU?
We live in a world where we are scared to take chances. Scared to be ourselves. Scared to be BOLD.
I strongly think that individuality and genuineness is slowly dying. With social media, television and apps growing at an exponential rate, we are constantly comparing ourselves to everyone else.
Why do we do that?
Because it’s the easy thing to do. It’s easy to be “normal.” It’s easy to not take chances. It’s easy not to be faithful.
We have turned into quite the lazy society. Afraid to fight for what is right. Scared to fight for ourselves. Unable to live our true purpose. I am confused as to why it takes some sincere boldness to be YOU.
It’s because it takes work and some serious “guts.”
You have to be able stand up for yourself, say no to the folks who don’t believe in you, and let go of your PAST. It’s done. Believe me.
Stop worrying about what others think and worry about what YOU think. If you want to buy a house, then buy a house. If you want to speak out about your faith, then speak out about your faith. If you want to move to Montana, then move to Montana.
Not because of what they say, but because of what YOU say.
What do YOU stand for?
What are YOUR values?
Who are YOUR friends?
Think about that for a second and take some time to write those things down. Because that is what matters the most in life. Not what others think.
But, also believing that everything YOU say is what HE says and everything that is YOUR’s is HIS.
I am talking about the word that everyone is frightened to talk about in public… God… Jesus… Lord…
Why is it when Tim Tebow gets down on a knee to give thanks to God during a football game, we make fun of him? We laugh. We boo. But, we have millions gathering weeknights to watch shows such as the Kardashians or Real Housewives to watch women whom we will never meet, never see or most of us don’t even want to meet. But yet, we can be judgmental for a man who wants to give thanks to the man who saved his life.
Does this make any sense? Be BOLD my friends.
Be faithful. Swallow your ego… your pride… your fear. Swallow it all. Instead turn to gratitude, humility and faith.
Grateful for what you have and not for what you do not have.
Humble that you have gotten where you are because of God.
Faithful that if you live your life as He did and challenge the status quo of society, you will live in eternity with Him. Amen.
BE BOLD MY FRIENDS!
